Smart Lock doesn't notice username change

Reported by benlau...@gmail.com, Jul 25 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/51.0.2704.103 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
Not exactly sure how it gets into this state, but for example if I go to Wikipedia and try to log in, I am presented with the wrong username. If I correct it and log in, then Smart Lock offers to update my password, but with the same wrong username.

What is the expected behavior?
Allow me to edit the username/password pairs for the site.

What went wrong?
What I said.

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 51.0.2704.103 Channel: n/a
OS Version: OS X 10.11.5
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0

Thanks for the report. I tried this on https://en.wikipedia.org, and could not reproduce. Having said that, my version of Chrome was 54.0.2809.0 and OS Linux. Once I get my hand on a Mac, I'll try with a more similar configuration to yours. Feel free to check this out with Canary, it might be that some issues were fixed since version 51.

Also, what kind of wrong username are you presented with? Wikipedia has the concept of username and some more human-readable user's name, and fills the latter in the form on load (but I still did not manage to get that in conflict with the password manager).

unable to reproduce the issue on mac 10.11.5 chrome version 52.0.2743.82 and canary 54.0.2809.0 - the correct password was autofilled and signed in successfully

benlaurie@, Could you please respond as per comment #3

Unable to reproduce the issue on MAC 10.10.5 using chrome stable # 52.0.2743.116. Attached a screen cast for your reference.

Following are the steps followed to reproduce the issue.
------------
1)Logged into wikipedia and saved the password.
2)Then logged out of the wikipedia account and tried logging into the account again.
3)Observed that the correct username and password were reflected

Closing this issue due to lack of user response. Please raise a new issue if you still face any issues using chrome further.
