Issue description
UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/51.0.2704.103 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Set a hexa color in a css var
2. Get the color value with window.getComputedStyle(document.querySelector('html')).getPropertyValue()
exemple on https://gist.run/?id=b603e296533b0a415ef37e0d984bb66c
What is the expected behavior?
I should have the same value as set in my style tag
What went wrong?
All colors starting with a number (#123) will be replaced by "#\31 23".
On all other browser, I always have the correct value.
Did this work before? N/A
Chrome version: 51.0.2704.103 Channel: stable
OS Version: OS X 10.11.5
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0

I can reproduce on Chrome 52.0.2743.82 (Official Build) (64-bit): I see "#\31 23", "red", "#\35 4678". However, issue seems to be fixed in 53.0.2785.21 (Official Build) dev (64-bit): the page shows "#123", "red", "#54678" as expected.

Test team, can you verify if this is a regression and when it was fixed please?
