Did web search. Found the page desired. Selected the hyperlink. the virus alert appears and cannot be closed. I have to kill from Activity Monitor

From the screenshot, it looks like you might have a rogue Chrome extension (or just malware on your machine) that is causing the unkillable alert. You could try two things - disable ALL your extensions (go to chrome:extensions and disable them all) and try navigating around in Chrome to see if you get the issue. If that doesn't work, install a well-known antivirus available for Mac and scan your computer. On second glance, if you have MacKeeper installed (saw this in one of your Chrome tabs), it might have something to do with that (a quick search for it shows that it's apparently some pretty invasive malware - see https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3691). Closing this bug as WontFix because it's not a Chrome issue. |
