Somehow I was unable to reproduce the issue on Linux Ubuntu 14.04 on stable version: 52.0.2743.82. Checked by exiting Chrome using Ctrl+Shift+Q as well as close(x) button.

If possible could anyone( Starred by 3 users) confirm if the issue is seen on Ubuntu 14.04 as well.

Labeling the bug properly for someone from the respective team for more insight.

***Update***

After many tries to purge Google Chrome & reinstalling it, the problem didn't resolved.

But, the following solves it:

I resolved the problem by removing any single folder in Ubuntu OS related to Google or Chrome after uninstalling Chrome, it seems those were settings & other files which left after the purge & uninstall process.

Then installed Chrome fresh .. now it's ok.

Thanks for the help & hope this share helps
