Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 6.0.1; SM-G920V Build/MMB29K) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/49.0.2623.105 Mobile Safari/537.36 Example URL: www.d20srd.org Steps to reproduce the problem: Navigate to almost any website. (the one above is just a good example) What is the expected behavior? There is text on the web page. What went wrong? There is no text on the page. Bullet points and html tables (with no text in them) do display, though. Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A Did this work before? Yes Before upgrading chromium from previously installed version. Does this work in other browsers? N/A Chrome version: 52.0.2743.82 Channel: n/a OS Version: 4.6.4-1-ARCH Flash Version: Oddly, news sites appear unaffected. For example, www.newyorker.com displayed just fine. However, most other pages (including chromium's internal pages like chrome://settings) fail to display. Tooltips and chromium's dropdowns work. Other samples (generally referring to the entire site reachable from the goven domain): www.facebook.com does not work. thingofthings.wordpress.com does not work. ordinary-gentlemen.com does work for main text, but not commenter psuedonyms or text I write in the comment submission box. www.youtube.com seems to work fine. www.erfworld.com works. I have both adblock and adblockplus installed and running, but turning them off did not change anything. Interestingly, they don't display text in their dropdowns, but backstop/"backspace means backspace" do.

Can confirm. It is the same with google-chrome and google-chrome-beta from aur. Chromium version 51.0.2704.106 works fine. My wm is xmonad.

Temporary fix would be to change standard font (settings - web content - customize fonts...) to e.g. Noto Sans (or other font not affected by this bug).

Sounds like a linux font issue. Make sure fontconfig is up to date and change the chrome settings to use a font that you have installed.

Can confirm as well. Fontconfig is up to date. Cannot change to an installed font, because the menu is unusable without fonts.
