Holding Ctrl-F while refreshing a page makes an invisible search box appear

Reported by john823...@gmail.com, Jul 23 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/52.0.2743.82 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Hold down Ctrl-F
2. Click the refresh button
3. Let go of Ctrl-F once the page is loaded
4. Type something that you know is on the page and notice how it highlights, even though there is no search box visible

What is the expected behavior?

What went wrong?
An invisible search box appears that lets you type to search. Like with a normal search box, clicking inside the tab will make it lose focus and pressing Ctrl-F will make it regain focus, but not reappear. Switching to another tab and then switching back to the same tab makes the search box reappear, with the text that you had typed inside it.

Did this work before? N/A

Weird. I can reproduce on 53.0.2785.21 (Official Build) dev (64-bit) on Ubuntu 14.04.4. Thank you for reporting.

This seems to have been fixed in 55.0.2883.28 beta (which uses the new material UI).
