Often, the automatic piper roll fails because a new file needs to be compiled.
Every time this happens (several times per week), it takes a SWE at least 30 minutes to do a manual roll.

We could have a script that essentially does what the SWE does by hand:
For each of the problematic targets, the script would generate a .gni file of all the source files contained in the directories for the target.
