This will only be effective for Crashpad-using platforms (currently Windows and Mac, hopefully also Android soon). There are no plans to do this for Breakpad-using platforms. The answer there is to stop using Breakpad as soon as Crashpad is available.

That makes sense re: only Crashpad-using platforms. This behavior (opt-in or opt-out setting being effective when toggled without restart) should probably apply not just to the checkbox that will be created in the sad tab but also to the existing UMA opt-in when it's toggled in Chrome settings. I'll loop in privard@ on another thread about it.
@mmentovai: if this change does not automatically apply to crash reporting opt-ins that happen from within Settings vs. the new sad tab, can we make sure that they do?

They will all be the same, regardless of where the user clicks the checkbox. Either all checkboxes for this will be immediate (the point of this bug) or all will require a restart.
That's what I was hoping for. Great.
