Non-Regression: Unwanted drop down box getting opened in chrome://tracing page

Version: 53.0.2785.21
OS: Ubuntu 14.04,Windows,Chrome

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1)Launch Chrome and go to chrome://tracing.
(2)Click on Record -> hit tab key twice and then hit space bar and observe.

Expected: Unwanted drop down box is getting opened after hitting space bar.

Actual: The drop down box shouldn't get opened on hitting space bar.

This is a Non-Regression issue seen the same behaviour since M-44.

This issue is repro on M-54 as well.

Seeing this issue on Mac 10.11.5 using chrome version 53.0.2785.21 also.
