Browser crashes if you click on the notifications button (the one with the notification count in it) from lock screen |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionVersion: 53.0.2785.13 OS: ChromeOS What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Sign-in to ChromeOS. (2) -Do something to cause a notification, so that the tray area notification icon shows up, with a notification count- (turns out that this is not required; clicking the bell icon is sufficient). (3) Lock the device. (4) Click the notification icon on the lock screen. What is the expected output? Expect that clicking prompts the user to un-lock the device to see notifications. What do you see instead? Device crashes; display goes blank and it then shows the sign-in screen again. There does not seem to be a crash Id under chrome://crashes, though, and when you sign-in again, it immediately restores the session, rather than prompting whether you want to Restore, suggesting that there was no crash.

+khmel@ Updated repro steps to reflect that having actual notifications un-acknowledged is not actually required.

FWIW I believe crashes 4c21ae8200000000 and 321f8df600000000 correspond to this.

yoshiki@ can you please confirm if this is a dupe of https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=625357 ? We need to move this off of Beta if that is the case.
