||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionVersion: 53.0.2785.15 OS: Chrome What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Use hangouts packaged app What is the expected output? No kaboom What do you see instead? Frequent kaboom Bug 610902 is preventing us from getting a stack from the crash. Grab the dump from https://crash.corp.google.com/browse?q=ClientID%3D%278B01311104654E1884B1A1D77145CAC7%27&ignore_case=false&enable_rewrite=true&omit_field_name=&omit_field_value=&omit_field_opt=%3D&stbtiq=&reportid=9237537600000000&index=1#0 Hopefully we can somehow get our hands on symbols and analyze locally with gdb.

mmentovai@ I'm told you might be able to help someone work around 628040 to analyze a crash locally?

Samus may be arc related. +khmel@, what do you think? I don't have a samus device on hand to repro the bug. Anyone can borrow me one? tks

Is https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-hangouts/nckgahadagoaajjgafhacjanaoiihapd the app in question? Does it run (and crash) on dev builds? If so, any luck getting symbols from there yet?

Is the crash server's "stable signature" a good way of identifying this particular crash? There are other null pointer segfaults with the same signature from other boards where I'm not sure that ARC++ is currently enabled (e.g. peppy). It seems like samus is disproportionately represented for this signature, though, though.

This might be a dupe of bug 628525 . The symptoms in bug 629021 sound very similar.
