EC:ec3po: allow user console to stay up while automated commands are used

Currently programmatic ec commands with regexes will fail if the console is opened in miniterm. 

The issue is that ec output can only be sent to one pty, and the miniterm opened one seems to end up preferred, so the pty_driver won't receive the output and will time out.
