Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_10_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/51.0.2704.103 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open bookmark manager, 2. Expand folders to left. 3. Drag a bookmark & drop it onto a folder on left What is the expected behavior? The bookmark moves to the folder What went wrong? It does not move bookmark, instead opens the link. The issue is still there even if pausing 2-3 seconds before dropping Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 51.0.2704.103 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.10.5 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0 Same applies to dropping folders. I have about 13,000 bookmarks and 100s of folder incase it matters.

Dragging a bookmark to a second level folder on OSX 10.11.5, Chrome 51.0.2704.106 works ok for me. Maybe you can share a screencast for the bug.

Thanks for the screencast. Just to be sure, are you able to reproduce this on the latest version?

Yes, it is there for 52.0.2743.82 (64-bit) too. Note, the issue & another one on bookmark folders expanding too fast I might file latter, have been there on Macbook Air for atleast 4 years. It will not automatically go away.

Thanks for the clarification. To help debug the issue, you mentioned that you have about "13,000 bookmarks and 100s of folders". Does this happen with a fresh new profile that has a small number of bookmark items?

How to try that on Mac beyond creating new user account?

Sorry for not responding sooner. You should be able to just create a new profile without creating a new account.

I can't repro this. amitc2033@gmail.com@ are you still seeing this in the latest Chrome? If so, I'm also curious if it happens for you with a fresh profile. You can create a new profile by opening the profile switcher in the top right, selecting "Manage People" and clicking "Add person".

lgrey@chromium.org, I cannot reproduce the issue, it was likely fixed sometime in the past... Thanks Amit
