Cannot connect using Chrome Remote Desktop

Project Member Reported by erikc...@chromium.org, Jul 14 2016

Issue description

I keep getting the error "The access code is invalid. Please try again." The only thing I can think of is that the CRD version is 52.0.2743.48, but my chrome version is 51.0.2704.106

Maybe if one computer is using Chrome Dev/Beta, this will cause the CRD extension to update, and if I'm using the same profile, it will also update CRD to on the machine with Chrome Stable?

Are you prompted to enter a PIN when you try to connect?

It's possible that your company/employer has enabled third-party authentication. You will have to examine the host logs to determine this. Is Linux the host or client OS? If the host OS is Linux, you can find the logs at /tmp/chrome_remote_desktop_*
Look for "Policy sets third-party token URLs:" and if you find some URLs there, you'll have to raise the issue internally for diagnosis, as the authentication details are handled by your company/employer.

I'm seeing this issue when trying to chromote from my corp mac to my corp desktop on vpn. I'm not prompted for a PIN. Are there any logs on mac I can look at?
For issues with "access code is invalid" when connecting to a Corp host machine, please use Corp resources and file an issue in the internal bug tracker.
Thanks!
