Issue descriptionChrome Version : 51.0.2704.79 OS Version: Lubuntu 16.04 x64 URLs (if applicable) : All websites, tested for facebook.com and self-developed webapp Other browsers tested: Firefox 47.0: OK What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Open any website What is the expected result? Normal sized, smooth fonts (see attachment "issue_firefox.png" -> for example the "képviselőválasztás16 | belépés" text shouldn't overflow the line, tested by a few of my friends, and confirmed) What happens instead of that? Big, bad font size, and big gaps between the letters (see attachment "issue_chrome.png", form title overflows to the next line) Please provide any additional information below: This issue came out after I've reinstalled my OS from i386 arch to amd64. I used to work with Chromium yesterday (with i386 architecture yet), and everything was fine, the behaviour was the expected. UserAgentString: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Ubuntu Chromium/51.0.2704.79 Chrome/51.0.2704.79 Safari/537.36

The issue is still there with a clean profile, and appears on the popular websites too (also in my webapp), like facebook.com, github.com. I think this should be a font-misconfiguration or something like that. I'm trying to figure it out. Thanks for your help!

It seems that this issue's affecting only Chromium. In Google Chrome everything is fine.

Where did you get Chromium from?

Likely a problem with fontconfig or a lack of suitable default fonts. Given that Chrome works I'm marking this as WontFix. We do not provide support for third party distributions of Chromium. |
