Stop and reset Sync via Google Dashboard option missing in the new MD advanced sync settings page. |
|||||
Issue descriptionENVIRONMENT and STATS Chrome version: 54.0.2794.0 canary OS: All desktop REPRO STEPS 1. Sign in to Chrome on multiple devices. 2. Change the encryption options to "Encrypt all...." on another device. 3. Open chrome://settings on the current device(canary) or open chrome://md-settings and click on "Sync" 4. Observe the "Encryption options" in the Advanced sync settings page. ACTUAL RESULTS "If you have forgotten your passphrase, stop and reset Sync via Google Dashboard" text and link is missing (see the attached screenshot). Although "Manage synced data" settings is available above the encryption settings, it is not very intuitive when the user forgets the passphrase. EXPECTED RESULTS "If you have forgotten your passphrase, stop and reset Sync via Google Dashboard" text is displayed with the link to Google dashboard.

Verified in 54.0.2840.16. It is showing "IF you forgot your passphrase or want to chnage this settings, reset sync" below the Encryption options. |
