Some apps like outlook web app do not work on chromebooks/boxes

Description:
As a company we moved to chromeboxes/ chromebooks for our email use for security reasons. We use Outlook Web App and up until a few weeks ago everything worked perfectly.
Now OWA will not work on the chromeboxes/ chromebooks or even when tried on a chrome browser on a windows desktop machine.
You cannot reply to emails as you could previously and the calendar function no longer works.
This is a MAJOR inconvenience for businesses that use Chrome as outlook needs to work.
It worked perfectly and now doesn't so something has changed. Please look into this as soon as possible as there appears to be no workaround for this. The Chromebooks/ boxes we have are now becoming redundant.
Please note that it still works perfectly on Firefox on a windows machine but this is of no use as there is no option to use another browser on chrome OS.

Description:
A few months ago my Chromebox which had been running fine suddenly would not let me reply to emails in Outlook web app. After spending hours trying to resolve this, I saw in my settings that I was set to the beta channel. I changed my channel back to the last stable one and the problem resolved.
Today exactly the same problem occurred. I can forward an email from outloo web app but if I hit reply i get a 404 error ( if set to online only) or a new window opens but the spinning graphic just stays there showing "starting" indefinitely.

I would have a guess that the beta that caused me to have these problems has now been released as a stable release, hence the issue has come back.

As it stands I cannot reply to any emails in outlook web app which is far from ideal

dhaddock@ can someone on your team confirm this?

Does it work in Chrome on Windows?

FYI there are 3 topics in CBC

Can't login to Outlook https://goo.gl/LwN3pv
Can I read Gmail with Outlook.com on my Chromebook https://goo.gl/kQKiQF
outlook not receiving emails https://goo.gl/7qg4oP

It doesn't repro in M53 outlook.com
It doesn't repro in M51 outlook.com

We don't have credentials to test a real domain-based OWA though

+Chrome testers. Do you have credentials to try repro this?
Owner: abodenha@chromium.org
Checked offline and they do not have credentials we can use to test.
The TVC's use the Outlook web app with their vendor company. On M51 they can access calendar and reply to emails so we can't reproduce this (At least with this OWA instance)
Not reproduce issue on outlook.com - Chrome 53.0.2785.57- win7

Browser team doesn't have credentials. Does anyone have a test account I can use ?

ovanieva@ are we seeing significant reports of this in the field?

Based on comments #8 and #6 I'm betting that the person who filed the feedback report either has some setting or extension that's screwing up outlook or there's a config error on their outlook instance.

If we don't have evidence of a real problem I suggest we close.
we are not seeing similar reports after July in Pulse. Safe to assume it's resolved.
the above report originated on 7/12.

There are few similar reports from past couple months:
