two finger trackpad scrolling crashes hangouts chrome app

Chrome Version: 53.0.2785.4
OS Version: 8530.6.0

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open hangouts chrome app
2. use two fingers to scroll up or down in any application panel
3. no scroll happens and HO crashes into a black screen

Do you have anything in chrome://crashes ?

I can repeatedly crash it over and over but nothing shows up 'today' in chrome://crashes

This one was probably  Issue 627227 , but they're both fixed \o/.

Fix should reach version 54.0.2803.something - but I'll ping on  Issue 627227  - it might need a merge.
