Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_4) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/51.0.2704.103 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open this bin http://jsbin.com/tematutika/1/edit?html,css,output 2. Scroll down and long press on some text 3. Notice that text shows above div incorrectly even with overflow-y: hidden What is the expected behavior? It should be selected and hidden, just like with mouse. IOS doesn't do it this way either, nor edge. What went wrong? See attached image how text is selected even overflow-y: hidden Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 51.0.2704.103 Channel: stable OS Version: 10 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0

Can reproduce in DevTool device emulation. The selection painting is not clipped. Both iOS and Android show the problem.

Hi, is there any update on this?

I'm not aware of any changes that were for this, but it seems to be fixed to me in Chrome 68.0.3440.85 on Android and MacOS. Are you still able to reproduce this bug? If so, can you share the version of chrome?(chrome://version).

Hello, Yes, this is still reproducible. We checked this on Windows 10 touch, chrome version: 70.0.3514.0 (official Build) canary (64 bit) (cohort: clang-64)

I am not sure this should be a good first bug. It seems like a simple clip bug, and maybe the fix is just a clip somewhere, but it's also possible the fix requires involved plumbing.
