Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_3) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/51.0.2704.106 Safari/537.36 Example URL: http://codepen.io/jaydenseric/pen/wWdrdQ Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Create a div with `column-count: 2; overflow: hidden`. 2. Add 2 child divs with `transform: translateX(0)`. What is the expected behavior? The second child div should render. What went wrong? The second child div does not render. It seems to be placed correctly in the layout but displays transparent. Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 51.0.2704.106 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.11.3 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0 Original discussion: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=527709#c51

Setting `backface-visibility: hidden` on the transformed element seems to prevent the buggy behavior (tested this change on the original codepen in Chrome 52.0.2743.116 (64-bit) on OS X 10.11.6. This is likely to be a viable workaround for many types of transforms.

Works fine now, most likely thanks to the paint team. |
