Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 8481.0.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2773.0 Safari/537.36 Platform: 8481.0.0 (Official Build) dev-channel candy Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Adjust brightness down from default setting 2. Power off and power on the device 3. What is the expected behavior? Screen brightness should be the same as the last user-defined setting What went wrong? Screen brightness is returned to the default setting Did this work before? No Chrome version: 53.0.2773.0 Channel: n/a OS Version: 8481.0.0 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0

Countless posts about this in Chromebook Central. I have not seen setting honored across restarts since forever. We simply tell users "that's the way it is." OP therefore suggests this "fix' may be machine/model/hdwe specific, as is the fleeting "bug." #CBC-RS/TC-watchlist
