Overlay background appears grey on double clicking the check box in chrome://md-settings

Chrome Version:Chrome Version: 53.0.2785.8 (Official Build) c6d43518027ef223fe101efd8baa5a9b1bc979b4-refs/branch-heads/2785@{#37} 32/64 bit
OS: Windows(7,8,10), Mac(10.10.5)(10.11.4), Linux(Ubuntu 14.04 LTS)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1)Launch chrome and navigate to chrome://md-settings.
(2)Click on 'sign in to chrome' button and login
(3)Click on 'personalize google services'.
(4)Double click on check-box above 'Manage Activity'(Kindly refer the video)
(5)Repeat step 4 and observe the overlay background.

Actual:Overlay background appears grey on double clicking the check box.

Expected:Overlay background should not appear grey on double clicking the check box.

This is a Non-Regression seen from M-52(i.e 52.0.2726.0)

Status: Untriaged (was: Unconfirmed)
The problem seems to be related to double clicking the check-box. This doesn't occur when the check-box is single-clicked.

Based on the video, the problem is with myaccount.google.com, not with the Settings page.
