Devtools feature: disable extensions for a tab

Project Member Reported by mikelawther@chromium.org, Jul 5 2016

Issue description

It would be nice in DevTools to be able to disable all extensions for a tab.

This would be similar to being able to 'disable cache' etc.

Running in incognito doesn't completely cover this usecase, as some extensions may be allowed to run in incognito mode. And i may be signed into things etc.

Paul, what do you think? Sounds like a nice idea to me.
Yes, but we'd want it to be something you choose. We wouldn't want to do it automatically.

Totally, it should be an option.
Paul was raising an interesting point wrt devtools extesions - they run content scripts and would need to be disabled as well.

This is a feature request, not a bug.

We bulk-close both bugs and features that did not collect enough stars over the extended period of time. It is highly unlikely we are going to fix this, so there is no reason for it to sit there. That way we can keep our tracker in a maintainable state.
