Issue descriptionChrome Version : 54.0.2787.0 canary OS Version: OS X 10.11.5 This bug happens only on Chrome canary on Mac. Chrome stable (51) is OK, and Chrome canary on Windows is OK. What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Install the Brushed theme: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/brushed/bfjgbcjfpbbfepcccpaffkjofcmglifg This bug isn't visible with the default theme. 2. Make your browser tall (>1200 pixels). Width doesn't seem to matter, my window is ~1000 pixels wide. 3. Open a page, e.g. google.com or data:text/html,<%21doctype%20html><html><body>Simple%20page 4. Open a new tab and close it. Now there are gray bars in the page where it should be white. I'm using a 15" MacBook Pro with AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2048 MB and an external display with 5120x2880 resolution (running as 2560x1440 retina). Screen recording is attached.

Probably ccd5fbaca5867773830b38ea64c2a79f932f6478, should be fixed in latest canary?

The Cl revert which is mentioned in comment#2 is already merged to M53.

Similar to issue 625213, I think this stems from erikchen's original patch.

I am not seeing this issue on Latest Canary#54.0.2789.0 for Mac OS X 10.11.5 (13-inch, Mid 2012 MacBook Air) though it has re-introduced in 54.0.2787.0 after the revert (ccd5fbaca5867773830b38ea64c2a79f932f6478). Also, i have verified the same revert on 2785 branch (which is going to be tomorrow's dev release branch) - Everything seems to be working fine. Thank you! |
