sharing urls in facebook not generating thumbnail images

features: what does it do? why do we need it?

bugs: repro steps (I did X and expected Y but Z happened!)
i tried to post http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-07-01/diving-deutsche-banks-passion-perform-balance-sheet into facebook chat and it didn't generate a thumbnail image like it usually does (just sends regular url)...

ryansmccoy86@ : Thanks for the report.Could you please let us know the OS and chrome version details tried to reproduce the issue.
Is the link generating Thumbnails in any other browser or used to work on previous chrome version ?
Assuming there are no images for the provided link as like for the below link.
This is not generating any thumb nails on Win 7 using Chrome stable 51.0.2704.106 and FireFox 47.0 as well.
Anyhow the below link does work on Chrome and FireFox too.

This is not a Chrome bug. I was able to reproduce it in Firefox.

These thumbnails are generated by facebook based on an analysis of the page, in particular the page's meta tags.  There is probably something about the markup of that particular article that facebook is not processing correctly.

This is most likely a bug in zerohedge.com's web publishing system or in Facebook's thumbnail generation system.
