Canary GUI became black screen after latest Canary update. Menu items are unavailable.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) I simply updated from the previous Canary version. Actual current version cannot be determined: whole GUI is black!

compatibility mode windows 8/7 made it usable again but kind of laggy for me. |
