same thing as popinaod...@gmail.com. Everything is larger
I too have the same issue. Spent a while looking for what caused the fonts in the address bar to be small. At least I see it is a bug. Hopefully it can be fixed.
Unless this issue is miss-titles I do not think that high dpi support is the reason for the smaller header font and icons. I at least do not have a high DPI monitor - it isn't even 1080 p. I doubt that is why all these others are getting this issue either. The issue is everything in the bar is about 2 sizes to small, like the Grinch's heart.
Just copied this from Google Chrome help forum.

"I cannot take credit for this, but a work associate suggested this, and it works like a charm! Everything is back to normal size!
1. Open a tab and type "chrome://flags" and hit Enter
2. Search for something called "Material Design in the browser's top chrome"
3. Change the drop-down from "Default" to "Non-Material"
4. Re-launch Chrome"

^^
That no longer works, that flag ha been replaced with options Normal and Touch, so fuck that!
"Non-Material" was there for me, and fixed the small icon & font issue in the header. Chrome 53.0.2785.143 m on Windows 7 64-bit. Thanks mohazeab...!

Once you hit Chrome 55 that chrome:flags option re material design disappears.

Change for the sake of change is ridiculous.

I imagine that the option to show or hide an extension that was on the extension page is also part of this 'material design' garbage.

Cef3 currently only support PROCESS_SYSTEM_DPI_AWARE, which has one issue in my current project, if I set my PROCESS_SYSTEM_DPI_AWARE in the application manually with windows API , instead of CefEnableHighDPISupport (PROCESS_SYSTEM_DPI_AWARE), then the right click context menu is always far away from the mouse pointer, eg. menu shows on the first monitor
int RunMain(HINSTANCE hInstance, int nCmdShow) { // Enable High-DPI support on Windows 7 or newer. //CefEnableHighDPISupport();
typedef HRESULT(__stdcall *SetProcessDPIAwareFunc)(PROCESS_DPI_AWARENESS);
HMODULE hUser32 = LoadLibrary(L"Shcore.dll");

if (hUser32)
{
    SetProcessDPIAwareFunc setDPIAware = (SetProcessDPIAwareFunc)GetProcAddress(hUser32, "SetProcessDpiAwareness");
    setDPIAware(PROCESS_PER_MONITOR_DPI_AWARE);

    FreeLibrary(hUser32);
}

I'm running Chrome Version 63.0.3239.84 (Official Build) (64-bit) on openSUSE Tumbleweed. Default browser zoom is set to 150% and I have my system fonts set at 16pt, and that's also how I set the minimum font size in the browser. My display resolution is 2560x1440, which is very high, but I've set all the other display elements to remain readable and the Chrome address bar is the ONLY place that isn't respecting the UI or browser settings. No matter what I do, I cannot get the address bar font size to increase. Please see my screenshot. It's VERY hard to see, even with my coke-bottle reading glasses. Please help!
