Issue descriptionVersion: 53.0.2782.3.0 dev OS: Ubuntu 12.04,14.04, Windows & Mac 10.11.3 Test URL: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ipkjmjaledkapilfdigkgfmpekpfnkih What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Launch chrome and add above extension >> Login to facebook with valid credentials and Enter some text in the text box and click on Home button & Observe. Actual: Page should not be displayed as Blank. Expected: Page gets displayed as blank. Issue is fallout issue of 610287, hence assigning it to "chrishtr@". @chrishtr: Hey, would you mind checking the above issue ? This issue is reproducible on Latest Dev(53.0.2782.3), Beta(52.0.2743.49) & Stable (51.0.2704.106). Marking the above issue as RB-Stable, feel free to change if not required. senorblanco: check out https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=610287#c15 to see the filter that the extension is adding to the page. I had some success manually adding it to a page to test the effect.

M53 is branched today (2785) and will be promoted to Beta this month.Your bug is labelled as Beta ReleaseBlock, pls make sure to land and merge the fix to M53 branch 2785 by 5:00 PM PST on Friday 07/22 (sooner the better so it gets chance to bake in M53 dev releases it self). Thank you.

Note that I'm unable to repro this in today's Canary or in a local build. I'm suspecting that something may have changed on the Facebook side that it no longer tickles this bug. However, some of the other referenced bugs do occur, so I'm unduping them.
