I just noticed that the Page and Wrench menus do open on hover in the Linux version
4.0.249.11. Why can't this also be implemented in Windows?

The current plan is to combine to have a single menu button, at which point this won't
matter.

There's still the bookmark menu (enabled by --bookmark-menu), unless that's being
removed too...

Good point.
Will the single menu make Chrome 6?
This is still true with the wrench menu.
Wrench menu is now unified and bookmark menu is gone. However, there is the "Other bookmarks" folder still that can be used to trigger this.
Summary: Views menus cannot be opened by hovering once another menu has been opened (was: NULL)

I don't think we would want a click on the 'other bookmarks' folder followed by hovering on the wrench menu to open the wrench menu. That seems more jarring then expected. Neither Firefox or IE do this either.

That said, it should work if you have the extension overflow button.

Now that we have a unified menu this doesn't make sense. I suggested earlier that we might want the extensions overflow menu to open on mouse over if you've opened the wrench menu, but I don't think that makes sense. The menus are separated by a separator and contain logically different content.
