Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open new tab page
2. Enter fullscreen mode
3. Attempt to type in search box

What is the expected behavior?
Keystrokes should register in the search box

What went wrong?
Typing in the search box on the new tab page in fullscreen mode does not work.
