Canary keeps going to new setting interface and won't show clear history pop up

Reported by pejman....@gmail.com, Jun 25 2016

Issue description

Canary keeps going to new settings interface and won't show clear history pop up. It's very annoying! Please make the new interface for the settings to be an option. I can not use the settings properly anymore!

Thank you for the report, could you please update the thread with OS and Chrome version details to further investigate it.
Please review the attached screen cast from where you can navigate to the clear history option.

Hi,

Thanks for following up. I'm using Chrome 53.0.2780.0 canary (64-bit) on Win10. I actually figured it out. Previously I could access the popup at "chrome//settings/clearBrowserData", now I do the same at "chrome//settings-frame/clearBrowserData".

Cheers
By the way, I needed a link to access clear browsing data. The method in the screenshot requires some additional clicks. I set the link among my startup pages to avoid additional clicks (for the purpose that I'm using the browser).
Anyways, it's all good now.

Thanks again for following up.

We are working on a fix! For now, you can get to the same controls by doing the following:
1) Open the Settings page
2) Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Advanced”
3) Find the Privacy section (within Advanced)
4) Click "Clear Browsing Data".
