M52 Stable is launching very soon! Your bug is labelled as Stable ReleaseBlock, pls make sure to land the fix and get it merged ASAP. All changes MUST be merged into the release branch by 5pm on July 1 to make into the desktop Stable final build cut. Thank you!

The issue here is how the tab code is fading out the trailing end of a title that doesn't fit, though I'm not exactly sure why we're seeing it now and not pre-MD.

sgabriel@ - long bookmark titles in MD are truncated with ellipses. Should we do that with long tab titles as well, or let them fade out?

Let the tabs fade out to maximize the space. 
I prefer ellipses in bookmarks because it gives a better sense of layout and touch target than a bunch of consecutive faded out titles.

Able to reproduce this issue on chrome latest canary #56.0.2899.0 as well.
