bluetooth cache folder is never cleared |
|||||||||
Issue descriptionI've noticed that all* bluetooth devices I've scanned are stored forever in /var/lib/bluetooth/<adapter>/cache folder. This cache folder is never cleared and contains all information such as Device Name and collection of services & characteristics my Chromebook has seen while scanning/interacting. According to Bluez folks, "this is by design, this is to speed up things like showing the actual name of devices in the discovery, if that becomes a problem you can mount it with tmpfs and cleanup on every reboot." I wonder if we should have a daemon that could clean this folder.
