Can't copy from xfce4-terminal when Chrome is open

Reported by br...@peloton-tech.com, Jun 21 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/51.0.2704.103 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open up xfce4-terminal and Chrome
2. Copy from xfce4-terminal
3. Paste into xfce4-terminal or Chrome

What is the expected behavior?
The text I copied is pasted.

What went wrong?
Whatever I last copied from Chrome is pasted instead.

Did this work before? Yes version 50.0.2661.102-1

Chrome version: 51.0.2704.103 Channel: stable
OS Version:
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0

I'm using XFCE on Debian Jessie.

As a workaround, using the pasteboard to get the text into the omnibar (or elsewhere in Chrome) and then copying that isn't too painful, but it's pretty annoying.
