Error on sudo apt upgrade : hash sum mismatch

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/52.0.2743.33 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Install google chrome beta on Ubuntu 16.04 
2. sudo apt upgrade when a new version of google chrome beta is out
3. 

What is the expected behavior?
google chrome beta should get updated without any errors

What went wrong?
E: Failed to fetch http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/pool/main/g/google-chrome-beta/google-chrome-beta_52.0.2743.41-1_amd64.deb  Hash Sum mismatch

Did this work before? N/A 

Chrome version: 52.0.2743.33  Channel: beta
OS Version: Ubuntu 16.04
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0

Please try to reproduce the above error only on Ubuntu 16.04

Status: WontFix (was: Unconfirmed)
I'm unable to reproduce this error when trying to install any Chrome channel on xenial. Perhaps some sort of outdated or corrupt repository cache? Maybe try again with 'apt-get clean; apt-get update'?
