Issue reproducible only on minimizing the window for some time(>5mins)

I reverted my patch, which certainly seems most likely to have caused it.  However, I cannot repro this locally on 10.11.5 and have tried several times, waiting for >5 minutes.  Do you have any other suggestions?

Issue is not reproducible on Latest chrome version: 53.0.2772.0 (Official Build),but still reproducible on reported build version: 53.0.2770.0 (Official Build) 

It appears the revert worked.  However, I cannot repro locally with my patch applied.  Can you give me more instructions about how to repro this bug?

Above issue is still reproducible on 53.0.2770.0 (Official Build) 
Below are the steps to reproduce the issue.

Test url: 1. https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/welcome.html
          2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nG6XkZNUGdU
          3. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/colorful-spring/jlckghdpbgidbjpfmdpeikmnofmhdkei?hl=en
          4. http://asd.asd.com/

Steps: 
1. Launch chrome and open all test urls in one profile/user, let test url 4 opened and minimise browser for 5-10 minutes.
2. Click on Browser icon and then switch between tab ‘to & fro’,observe 
3. Repeat above steps for test url 3 (rest of the three urls) but minimise browser for 1-2 min, observe.

Actual: Webpage appears blanks.
Expected: Web page should not get blank.
