Photo upload to Google site causes fatal Chrome OS crash

Issue description

Chrome Version       : 52.0.2727.0
OS Version: 8302.0.0
URLs (if applicable) : https://livecase.withgoogle.com/photos/select-device
Other browsers tested:
  Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
     Safari 5:
  Firefox 4.x:
     IE 7/8/9:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download this gif to a chromebook: https://drive.google.com/a/google.com/file/d/0B7ufjVHAYwA9TFJUV2hUYlhlOTg/view?usp=sharing
2. Navigate to https://livecase.withgoogle.com/photos/select-device
3. Select Nexus 5x phone, navigate to next frame
4. Upload the gif you downloaded in step 1

What is the expected result?
Not sure, just wanted to see if it loaded gifs

What happens instead of that?
Chrome OS crashes and reboots

In the URL, type about:crashes and click on the provide detail link and file a bug on that.

What type of chromebook is this ?

8302.0.0 is a very old 52, 
Your chromebook should update to a newer OS version already, please reopen if this is still an issue.
