MD History: "Loading..." and "History" titles flicker or change color initially

bugs: repro steps (I did X and expected Y but Z happened!)

0. enable md history
1. navigate to history (i.e. chrome://history, ctrl+y, etc.)

what do you expect?
no flickering in the loading message

what happens instead?
it's going all disco on me

what version of chrome?
reallly fresh HEAD

I've tracked this down to some sort of font loading issue. Seemingly, loading Roboto-Regular and Roboto-Medium causes the text to disappear for a frame at a time.

However, the flickering will only happen if you have to load the font from chrome://resources/roboto/ -- if you have the font installed locally, there's no flicker. Chromebooks (and incidentally, my linux workstation) have Roboto-Regular installed and so the word 'History' does not flicker, but the word 'Loading' (Roboto-Medium) does.

Finally, I can't seem to reproduce this on Windows or Mac.

I can no longer reproduce -- it's possible this was the same issue as  bug 637490 .

Closing as obsolete.
