Thanks for filing the issue, unable to reproduce the issue on Ubuntu 14.04, Fedora 22 for chrome stable version 51.0.2704.84. Navigating to the page and clicking the play button , played an audio file with no crashes.

@ erik.haller: Can you please try resetting chrome and update it to the latest stable available and try again. Also could you please help us with a crash ID generated from chrome://crashes. This will help us to triage the issue further.

@MTV: Request some one from MTV team to try this on Debian OS as suggested in the bug report.
Executing chrome://crashes yields the following on Debian:

Crashes
Crash reporting is disabled.

Crash reporting is not available in Chromium.
I attached the output from chromium when it crashes. Here are the steps:

1) mv ~/.config/chromium ~/.config/chromium.bak # replace profile/settings with default.

2) chromium &>crash.txt

3) navigate to http://www.classicalkusc.org/stream/listen.html and click the Play triangle in the center.

4) attached file.

The crash occurs even when I disable every extension.

I am running the stock chromium from Debian testing/stretch.

dpkg-query -l chromium yields:
ii chromium 51.0.2704.79-1 i386 web browser
I just verified again with firefox that the url is valid and streams music.

This verifies that I can locate and play the stream; i.e. no firewall, or other OS problem is preventing playback. Network connectivity is good. DNS is fine.
I am running a 32 bit system. This Debian bug report may be related: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=823186
I uninstalled the chromium package and installed chromium_51.0.2704.63-1-deb8u1_i386.deb from Debian snapshots here:

http://snapshot.debian.org/package/chromium-browser/51.0.2704.63-1~deb8u1/#chromium_51.0.2704.63-1:7e:deb8u1

The problem went away. I can stream music from the kusc.org website. Therefore, it appears there is a problem after 51.0.2704.63 -> 51.0.2704.79.

Please restart chromium with --no-sandbox and try again. Also try Chrome 52
to see if it still reproduces.
erik.haller@

Because this is a chromium build from debian. You need to install the chromium-dbg package in order to debug it. Please see: https://wiki.debian.org/Chromium/Debugging

Things you may wish to try are what chrishtr@ has indicating using the 52 package running with no sandbox; and then possibly trying to install the dbg package so that you can get symbols from gdb.

I'll keep the bug open for another week for your comments. If we don't receive them by then we may have to close the issue.
