1. be attached to external monitor, with the Chromebook lid closed
2. reboot
3. sign in

Expected: Whatever the new notification tray look is (a bell or a number?)

Actual: The notification icon is just black. On clicking, it acts normally: becomes highlighted, shows the notification list (which consists of the Docking notification). After closing the notification list, the alert icon remains.
