Issue description

Reproduction Steps:
1. Open Trix with multiple sheets/tabs
2. alt+shift+k to bring up list of GOogle Sheets tab
3. Search+Arrow to a tab

Observed:

Status: fixed (was: Assigned)
Summary: Unable to traverse list of tabs in Sheets (was: Unable to traverse list of tabs in Trix)
Docs/*Sheets* is whitelisted for compatibility mode due to their use of the ChromeVox API. Marking this bug as fixed via whitelisting but the shortcut is broken in either classic or next i.e. you need to navigate to the individual tab buttons).

Issue 657965 has been merged into this issue.

When can we expect whitelisting to take affect?

It has been in for a little while. Not sure what you're expecting here. alt+shift+k never worked (just tried it in linux w/ ChromeVox Classic).

If you can provide a counter example with a working screen reader, happy to then fix on the ChromeVox end. If there isn't one, then it's likely a problem in Sheets.
This is an issue with sheets.

Option+shift+K works on Mac ChromeVox Classic to bring up list of sheets in Google Sheets

I do see it working on Mac/ChromeVox.

Looks buggy in linux/ChromeVox which is closer to Chrome OS with ChromeVox whitelisted. Play around it some more and let me know what you see; focus handling appears to be broken in Sheets on linux as focus moves to the all sheets button, but goes right back to the spreadsheet region thereafter.

just fyi. Alt shift k is a shortcut in Chrome OS soon to be depricated. Will update this bug once it's in. The existing issue isn't related to accessibility. Will consider on an interum solution.

Do we know which milestone CrOS Alt+Shift+K will be depricated?
Looking forward to being able to switch tabs in Sheets productively :)

+ lpalmaro; it looks like alt+shift+k has been again assigned. This is to show ime menu bubble. We should get some clarity as to key bindings in Cros conflicting with web shortcuts.

This issue has been Available for over a year. If it's no longer important or seems unlikely to be fixed, please consider closing it out. If it is important, please re-triage the issue.

Sorry for the inconvenience if the bug really should have been left as Available.

This is really an important issue, and there should be a hotkey or a way
for a user to more easily jump between tabs in a sheet. For work, this is
something that effects me daily, and the current process for jumping
between tabs in Google sheets by finding the tab in the toolbar on the
bottom is just too time-consuming. But maybe there is something I am
missing, and an easier way to do this?

Thank you for all you do.

I just took a look at this on 71.0.3578.8 and noticed that this does still reproduce. However, if you press Alt Shift k to open the menu, then press the down arrow once, then you can navigate the list just fine either with only the up/down arrow, or with Search + Right. That said, if you open the menu and try to only press Search + Right, then the menu closes.
