Issue descriptionThis template is ONLY for reporting privacy issues. Please use a different template for other types of bug reports. Please see http://www.chromium.org/Home/chromium-privacy for further information. PRIVACY ISSUE New Chrome Notifications for Mail, Calendar, etc need to have a Do Not Disturb or Mute option so that they can be easily turned off while giving a presentation. Presenters do not need to be sharing details about potentially confidential meetings or personal email with their audience. VERSION: Chrome Version: [51.0.2704.84] + [stable] Operating System: [Windows 7] REPRODUCTION STEPS Observe that new notifications do not have an easy DND button in Chrome to mute notifications ( similar to Hangouts ) while you present to a group. The group can see your notifications about new mail and events that may be private.

This request seems to be for desktop. On Mac we're moving to the native center which will obey DND. I presume the same applies when we move to the native center on Windows 10. That doesn't solve the issue for older versions of Windows though. That said, I can't see any obvious entry-point for setting notifications to mute now we've removed the notification center so even if we did implement this feature it's not clear many users would be aware or use it. I suggest we mark as low priority and focus on continuing to focus on native notification center integration on the newer OS versions.

Hi Team, If this cannot be added to the settings menu ( aka the hamburger ) right after the list of Chrome extensions that are not currently shown on the omnibar, then please create a optional Chrome extension that looks like a bell that will allow us to deploy it to our users easily. It can follow the same idea as the option in Google Hangouts and mute notifications in Chrome for 1 hour, 8 hours, or 2 days. Thank you Team
