Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_8_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/49.0.2623.112 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/examples/streetview-simple 2. Open in device mode (Cmd + Shift + C then Cmd + Shift + M) 3. Try to drag the street view part What is the expected behavior? The street view gets dragged What went wrong? The street view doesn't get dragged Did this work before? I'm not sure that it was clicking "view this example full screen" that actually fixed it, refreshing the screen seems to make it go away. So, it's not as bad as I thought, but rather due to toggling device mode.

A refresh is required for Device Mode to function accurately. So this appears to be Working-as-Intended. Assigning to dgozman to confirm.

If that is the case, then the status bar saying that a refresh is needed shouldn't have been removed with the device mode redesign.

This particular case is probably due to issue 133915 . Note that we now have a plan to fix it. More general, you never know what the page does. It could have done mobile/touch/whatever-detection during the load and enabled/disabled some features (and many pages do so, for example for touch events). I hope that user debugging their web page does know that and reloads for it to function properly. |
