video stops playing after 6 seconds on chrome mac only

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_10_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/50.0.2661.94 Safari/537.36

Example URL:
http://mediaserver-dev.whipclip.com/bad_chrome_mac.mp4

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. . hit the above url in chrome browser in MAC
2.

What is the expected behavior?
video plays to the end

What went wrong?
video stops after 6 seconds

Did this work before? N/A 

Is it a problem with Flash or HTML5? N/A

Does this work in other browsers? Yes 

Chrome version: 50.0.2661.94  Channel: n/a
OS Version: OS X 10.10.5
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 21.0 r0

video works on all other browsers/players

This is reproducible on my MBP but not on my Mac workstation (Chrome 50.0.2661.102, OSX 10.11.5). However it works on Safari on the MBP.
