What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Open a New Incognito Tab
(2) Start typing a term (e.g Truck)
(3) Delete some of the characters

What is the expected output?
The text stays white

What do you see instead?
The text is white while there are suggestions, then turns black when none are present. Deleting characters results in the text turning white again
