Issue descriptionCL: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/338811/5 (with Poly-Gerrit UI; otherwise see links to all builds https://chromium-cq-status.appspot.com/patch-status/338811/5). Now compare Trusty 64: Buildbot (green): https://build.chromium.org/p/tryserver.infra/builders/Infra%20Linux%20Trusty%2064%20Tester/builds/2017 LUCI (purple(why?)-red) https://luci-milo.appspot.com/swarming/prod/2f3b3b866fd80410 On a first glance, the difference is clearly in bot_update.

buildbot version passes in: --gerrit_repo https://chromium.googlesource.com/infra/infra --gerrit_ref refs/changes/11/338811/5 luci one doesn't. the recipe never told bot update to apply any patches.
