Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/51.0.2704.79 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. load a page containing links 2. move the mouse cursor over some link What is the expected behavior? A bar appears on the bottom-left of the Chrome window, displaying the url the link points to. The text color and the background color should have enough contrast so that the url is comfortably readable What went wrong? As part of the recent restyling of Chrome's UI, which for the most part only degrades usability (presumably in favour of what is supposed to be aesthetics), the text of the status bar is now light grey on a slightly lighter grey background, making it annoyingly less readable than it used to be. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 51.0.2704.79 Channel: stable OS Version: Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 21.0 r0

Yeah, that's the same that I see. Yes, I can read it too (I should have said "annoyingly less readable"), but it was much more contrasted and readable before. I seem to remember the background used to be slightly darker, yet the text was *much* darker and overall the contrast was higher. I don't see any advantage in the new style compared to the old one. Note that I am not visually impaired.
