the caret can disappear in the console

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2756.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. it's not clear yet

What is the expected behavior?

What went wrong?
the caret sometimes disappear in the console, making it very hard to type

closing and reopening the devtools fixes it

Did this work before? N/A 

Chrome version: 53.0.2756.0  Channel: dev
OS Version: 10.0
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0

capture soon, when I reproduce another time, it happened already twice with chrome 53
 
the caret sometimes stay visible, but doesn't move

the issue appears when using the console for a long time, it never happened on previous version

Unable to reproduce the issue on windows 7, Linux Ubuntu 14.04 and Mac 10.11.5 using chrome version 53.0.2760.0.Able to type and clear the caret without any issue.

Request you once please try the issue by upgrading chrome to latest version 53.0.2760.0 and if the issue still persists please provide us some more detailed repro steps , screen shot would help us for better understanding the issue.

in this video http://recordit.co/SSVQMhcOKL I'm pressing left and right keys, it has no effect, clicking has mostly no effect also but works sometimes

you can notice at 0:08 the caret even disappear

cyril@, we were seeing that behavior when the console was overflowing (had a scrollbar).  Another ticket from last week has more details

A fix should have landed on Canary sometime June 4 or after (great timing!).  Could you please update your Canary to 53.0.2760.0 or higher, and let us know if you still see it?
