Based on the smaller revision range, I'm suspecting 53559da8fd5faa99d30a00eadbc6da3aebbde2b1. wangxianzhu, can you take a look?
This is because of a temporary experiment. Will disable the experiment after we achieve the goal.

Comment 5 by pdr@chromium.org, Jun 10 2016

This should only affect debug or dcheck-enabled builds, right? Why did this regress a release bot?
The experiment is temporarily enabled on release builds in order to catch failures in crash reports.

Comment 8 by pdr@chromium.org, Jun 10 2016

Makes sense. The branchpoint for Beta is in ~10 days--should this experiment go to beta? If not, please add release-block-beta to one of the bugs so we don't forget.

Comment 9 by pdr@chromium.org, Jun 10 2016

Correction--20 days to Beta.
Yes, bug 609218 has ReleaseBlock-Beta.
