Dominic: This uses an iframe based download + a window.location change. It looks like the changes you made to prevent discarding tab download state on renderer initiated navigations is kicking in and showing the correct warning on ToT. Can you verify and see whether the change is present on M52?

Thanks for reporting. https://codereview.chromium.org/1964863002 has the fix for this issue, and it will be M52 (the first version that has the fix is 52.0.2742.0).

Also, I can't write German, so if someone who can would like to post in the Help Forum to let them know a fix is in M52 that would be appreciated. :)
